Existence is chaos from our first breath to the last. In the noise of everyday, silence isn't a passive refuge to be found, but an active state created. In overcrowded cities and the noise of incessant thoughts, I find this silence in my ritual of repeating lines. For me, silence is focus, focus is balance, balance is bliss.
Then, in the vast emptiness which is that bliss, falls Bindu, a single drop containing an entirety of existence. As there is no creation without sound, this drop creates ripples/ frequencies in that sea of silence. I am a part of that drop, and I become that drop in the world I create. But in moments of focus, the waviest of wavelengths can be silenced once again.
This drawing is structured to reference the philosophy of the microcosm and macrocosm in Tantric geometry. The circle represents the self, the space outside is a mirroring world, and the central Bindu is the smallest form of creation.
